BNP Paribas AM launches US credit multi-factor fund

BNP Paribas Asset Management has launched a multi-factor corporate bonds fund through its Parvest Luxembourg Sicav.

The Parvest US Multi-Factor Corporate Bond fund is a quantitative fund that invests in dollar-denominated investment grade credits and follows on from a similar euro credits fund launched a year ago.

BNP Paribas AM said the fund forms part of one of the market’s largest ranges of multi-factor funds, six of which were awarded French socially responsible investment (SRI) certification in April under the guidelines set out by the Ministry of Economics & Finance.

The new fund also aims for SRI certification, through the integration of environmental, social and governance criteria.

Several factors form the investment approach, including momentum, quality, valuation and risk.  Investments are based on quantitative analysis of fundamental indicators and market data, with the aim of picking bonds expected to deliver the best returns while maintaining a level of risk equivalent to the benchmark.
