Berenberg hires head of German equities

Berenberg, Germany’s oldest private bank, has appointed Tim Albrecht as head of German equities within its wealth and asset management division.

Albrecht, who currently works as head of equities for German-speaking countries at DWS, will take up his new post in January.

“Tim Albrecht has won many awards as a fund manager, and I value him greatly as a colleague. His appointment is a clear reflection of our intention to become one of the best equity investment houses in Germany and Europe,” said Henning Gebhardt, head of wealth and asset management at Berenberg.

Albrecht has won numerous awards, including Fund Manager of the Year and Best Fund Manager for German Equities.
