Axa IM promotes two to management board

Axa Investment Managers has made changes to the leadership of the firm, with Isabelle Scemama now CEO of its real assets division and Heidi Ridley (pictured) CEO of its Rosenberg equities branch. Both also join the management board.

Scemama is replacing Pierre Vaquier who has left the firm to pursue “other interests”.

She was previously CEO of the French regulated entity of Axa IM’s real assets arm, and was responsible for the funds group, which included a wide range of real estate funds.

Within the Rosenberg equities division, Kathleen Houssels is now global chief investment officer, replacing Jeremy Baskin who is leaving the firm.

Houssels had held the position of head of research and investment models since 2012 before her promotion.

Heidi Ridley, new chief executive of Rosenberg, was formerly its global chief operating officer and chief of staff since 2011.

Andrea Rossi, CEO of Axa IM, said that despite challenging market conditions, he was pleased to be able promote employees from within the firm.
