AXA IM hires head of global fixed income

AXA Investment Managers has appointed Christophe Herpet (pictured) as its global head of fixed income, replacing Gilles Dauphine.

Based in Paris, Herpet will oversee the firm’s fixed income portfolios, as well as its overall “buy and maintain” strategy. He will report directly to Hans Stoter, global head of core investments.

Herpet joined AXA IM in 2004 as senior portfolio manager in its hedge fund and finance team, responsible for credit and equity strategies, as well as credit correlation trading. In 2010, he joined the fixed income team.

He began his career in 1994 at BNP, before moving to Bayerische Landesbank and, later, Credit Agricole Indosuez, where he served as head of credit proprietary trading.

AXA IM, an active multi-asset investor, had around €750 billion in assets under management as of the end of March this year.
