UK-based asset manager Aviva Investors has launched a SICAV fund based on its global equity income strategy.
According to the firm, the fund launch is in response to investors looking for more resilience in their equity income portfolios amid market uncertainty.
The fund will be domiciled in Luxembourg and available to investors across Europe.

The investment strategy will be modelled on the existing portfolios in Aviva IM’s global equity income strategy that has been managed by Richard Saldanha since 2013.
The key difference is the use of mean reversion, writing listed covered call options and put options on 20% of the fund’s assets under management and using the premiums to provide income uplift.
“It is firmly our belief that the current opportunity set for investors seeking companies offering resilient and growing income is compelling,” said Saldanha.
