Assets invested in ETFs jump in July

Assets invested in active ETFs/ETPs listed globally reached a record high at the end of July, according to figures from ETF consultancy, ETFGI.

Record levels of assets were reached at the end of July for active ETFs/ETPs listed globally with US$59.40 billion (€50.4 billion).

Meanwhile assets under management (AuM) in the European ETF industry jumped in July on the back of new sales, according to figures from Thomson Reuters Lipper.

The €4.6 billion AuM increase saw the majority of assets held by equity funds, followed by bond funds, commodity products, “other” funds, money market funds, mixed asset funds and lastly alternative Ucits products.

iShares was the bestselling ETF promoter in Europe for July (€3.6 billion).
