ASI hires Schroders man to replace retiring Stern

Aberdeen Standard Investments (ASI) has appointed Schroders executive Aymeric Forest to replace the retiring Guy Stern as head of its multi-asset investing team.

Stern is retiring after a 35 year career and more than a decade at ASI, the majority of which was at Standard Life Investments.

He will officially step down in 2019 but will stay on to work with his successor as part of a phased handover, stated ASI.

Forest was previously head of multi-asset investments at Schroders will take up his new London-based role as global head of multi-asset investing in February 2019.

Co-chief executive Keith Skeoch paid tribute to Stern for his role in “growing Standard Life Investments into a market leading asset manager” and in helping to develop and structure ASI, the result of the merger between Standard Life and Aberdeen.
