Janus Henderson launches bond fund for emerging markets

Janus Henderson has launched an emerging markets bond fund that complies with Article 8 of Europe’s sustainable finance rules.

Janus Henderson Horizon Emerging Markets Debt Hard Currency Fund can invest across the whole universe of emerging markets’ hard currency bonds.

The fund will predominantly invest in a diversified portfolio of sovereign, quasi-sovereign, supranational and corporate debt from emerging markets issuers.

According to Jim Cielinski, global head of fixed income at Janus Handerson, amid an optimistic outlook for emerging markets, investors are looking at the region’s fast-growing debt segment for higher income and risk-adjusted returns.

The fund’s team is based in Copenhagen, where Janus Henderson recently opened an office.
