DWS names global head of ESG for real estate

German fund manager DWS has appointed Aleksandra Njagulj to a senior real estate role as the firm attempts to increase ESG integration across its property portfolio.

Njagulj becomes global head of ESG for real estate and joins from CBRE Global Investors.

Reporting to DWS’s regional heads of real estate Todd Henderson and Clemens Schaefer, Njagulj has over 20 years’ experience in architectural design, design management, and sustainable building, DWS said.

A qualified architect, in her previous role with CBRE Global Investors Njagulj was global head of ESG with overall responsibility for developing sustainability strategies across the business.
