State Street appoints regional private markets head

State Street has appointed Vincent Georgel-O’Reilly as regional head for alternatives in Europe.

O’Reilly, who has been with State Street for 14 years, covers hedge funds and private markets and the role – which also spans the Middle East and Africa – includes responsibility for strategic direction, product structuring, and regional sales and operations.

O’Reilly previous positions include global head of financial institutions group, global head of strategic initiatives, chief operations officer for the regional sales team and international head of the mergers and acquisitions group.

He reports to Paul Fleming, global head of alternatives and Joerg Ambrosius, regional chief executive officer.
