Liontrust has hired James Klempster to its multi-asset team in a newly created role to co-manage 26 managed portfolios and a white label service for independent financial advisers.
Klempster joins from Momentum Global Investment Management, where he spent 14 years, most recently as director of investment, a role that included leading the firm’s global investment team and solutions strategy.
He manages the funds with John Husselbee, who Klempster reports to, and will also co-manage the Verbatim funds, an outsourced suite from SimplyBiz.
Liontrust also announced it had removed VAT from the team’s range of managed portfolios, which reduces costs for advisers by 0.06%.
