Carne appoints head of relationship management

Dublin-based fund management servicing firm Carne has appointed Bill Gourlay as global head of relationship management.

In the newly-created role, Gourlay, who will be based in Luxembourg, will be responsible for the firm’s marketing and sales teams globally in addition to leading business development in Luxembourg.

He was previously a partner at Aon. Before that Gourlay was chief executive of Idea Group, a fintech focused on the asset management sector.

Carne Group chief executive John Donohoe said: “I’m delighted to be able to bring someone as experienced as Bill into our leadership team.

“The financial industry is facing challenging times ahead, not least due to the current COVID-19 issues, so it’s critical that our client relationships are in safe hands.”
