MIPIM delayed over coronavirus fears

The MIPIM real estate conference, scheduled to kick off on March 10, has been delayed until June 2 due to growing concerns over the spread of the coronavirus, or Covid-19.

According to the summit’s organiser, Reed MIDEM, the wellbeing of clients and staff is their main priority.

Reed MIDEM chief executive Paul Zilk said: “Given the evolving context, the best course of action is to postpone MIPIM to June.”

“This is not a decision we have taken lightly,” he added. “We are grateful to our clients for their support and constructive input during this challenging period, and we look forward to talking with them in the coming days about MIPIM in June.”

The new dates are June 2 to June 5 in Cannes.
