BlackRock sees highest fund sales

BlackRock had the highest net fund sales in Europe last year, with €79.4 billion of net inflows.

Refinitiv data shows Pimco came second with €39.6 billion and Vanguard third with €28.9 billion.

Overall, the European funds industry saw net inflows of an estimated €303.9 billion last year, which compares to €129.2 billion of outflows the year before.

Bond funds saw €257 billion of inflows and were the best-selling individual asset type.

‘Equity Global’ was the best-selling sector, with €26.5 billion of net inflows.

European exchange-traded funds enjoyed a further increase in popularity, seen in the form of net sales at a new record level of €106.7 billion, while assets under management stood at €870.0 billion at the end of the year.
