Investor services group IQ-EQ has appointed John Legrand to the newly-created role of managing director for the UK and Ireland, as well as member of the executive leadership team.
Legrand will be responsible for leading the firm’s growth strategy in both countries.
According to chief operating officer Christiaan Van Houtven, Legrand was chosen for his “leadership skills and fintech expertise”.
Van Houtven said the firm aims to grow across all its core service segments while investing heavily in technology to meet evolving client needs.
Prior to joining IQ-EQ, Legrand was managing director for Asia Pacific with BlackRock’s alternative investment software provider eFront.
He also spent ten years at BNY Mellon in Singapore and London where his roles included head of business development for the Asia Pacific asset servicing division.
Van Houtven said: “Finding the right candidate to lead our UK and Ireland operations was hugely important to us as a group.”
