Pascal Duval joins Amundi

Pascal Duval (pictured), the former European chief executive of Russell Investments, has joined asset manager Amundi as head of retail solutions.

Duval left Russell Investments in January 2017 after 22 years to set up Duval Capital. He had been chief executive of Russell Investment’s Europe, Middle East and Africa business since 2011.

In the same year that he set up his research and advisory firm, Duval also became chairman of the Aberdeen Standard Logistics European Income Trust.

Amundi also announced the appointment of Julien Fontaine as head of partnerships. Fontaine was already with Amundi having been appointed chief executive of Amundi Japan in 2014 and then becoming head of retail marketing.

Duval and Fontaine are also on Amundi’s executive committee.
