BlueBay appoints non-exec board member

Specialist fixed income manager BlueBay Asset Management has appointed Maria Bentley as an independent non-executive board member and chair of the firm’s remuneration committee.

Bentley replaces Alan Gibbins, who retires after eleven years on the firm’s board.

In addition to an executive level career in financial services, Bentley has extensive experience in non-executive and advisory roles, covering financial services as well as the arts and education, including roles on Picton Property Income, Nomura Europe Holdings, Nomura International, and the City Women Network.

Jim Pettigrew, BlueBay’s chairman, said: “Maria is a highly respected industry professional, with extensive board experience. I look forward to her perspective and contribution to the board and the remuneration committee.”

London-based BlueBay invests around US$60 billion (€52 billion) for institutional investors and financial institutions across the global fixed income spectrum, from active benchmarked portfolios to alternative strategies and private debt.
