Mirabaud AM appoints head of European small to mid-cap equities

Mirabaud Asset Management has appointed Hywel Franklin to the post of senior portfolio manager and head of the firm’s European Small and Mid-Cap Equities team.

Franklin, who has some sixteen years of experience in European equities, started his career at New Amsterdam Partners as a US equities analyst.

His most recent position was as senior portfolio manager for global equities at UBS Asset Management.

In his new London-based role Franklin replaces Ken Nicholson who retired recently.

Umberto Boccato, head of investments at Mirabaud AM, said: “With the arrival of Mr Franklin, who shares our values and our active management approach based on strong convictions, we are more than ever in a position to provide our clients with high-quality, robust and sustainable solutions.”

Geneva-based Mirabaud AM had 8.8 billion Swiss francs (€7.7 billion) of assets under management as of end September.
