Vanguard appoints ETF specialist

US funds giant Vanguard has appointed Paul Young as European senior ETF capital markets specialist.

In the newly-created London-based role Young will be responsible for supporting the liquidity of Vanguard’s products and helping clients achieve investment goals.

He joins from State Street Global Advisors, where he was most recently head of ETF capital markets, for the Emea region.

Young has previously held roles at St James’s Place Wealth Management and Morgan Stanley Investment Management. He holds a BSc from Loughborough University.

Vanguard’s European operations had over $175 billion (€151 billion) in assets under management as at the end of July.
