VanEck Europe hires ETF product manager

New York-based investment house VanEck has hired Dominik Schmaus as a product manager in its European exchange-traded fund (ETF) business.

The boosting of its European ETF team comes after the company announced an expansion in its ETF range earlier in the year following a takeover of Dutch firm, Think ETF.

Based in Frankfurt, Schmaus joins VanEck in the newly created position from Deka Investment where he was a member of the ETF product management team.

Torsten Hunke, managing director at VanEck, said: “Both institutional and retail investors remain very interested in ETFs, and we are observing increasing demand in all countries.”

VanEck globally has $46 billion (€39.2 billion) in assets under management.
