BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPPAM) has made a series of hires as part of the expansion of its ETF and index solutions team, with further hires expected during 2018.
The French asset manager appointed Maude Rivierre Bianchi and Chiara Solazzo.
Solazzo is the most recent addition, joining in May as a member of the ETF and index solutions sales team in Milan and reporting to Sabrina Principi, head of ETF sales for Italy and Spain.
Previously Solazzo worked at BlackRock in the firm’s iShares sales team.
Rivierre Bianchi joined in April as a product specialist from Vega Investment Managers. She is based in Paris and reports to Bertrand Alfandari, head of ETF development.
The appointments are part of the French firm’s strategic growth plan in which it aims to double its assets under management in ETFs and index solutions.
Isabelle Bourcier, head of quantitative and index management at BNPPAM, said: “Since I joined in mid-2016, we have accelerated our recruitment programme to reinforce our team responsible for the development of ETF and index solutions.”
She added: “We intend to pursue this expansion with further recruitments before the end of this year.”
There are currently 28 people including ten managers and 18 business developers covering French and German speaking countries and Italy in the ETF and index solutions team.
