Credit Suisse transfers luxury brand fund to Lombard Odier IM

Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM) is transferring a global equity fund that invests in luxury brands to Lombard Odier Investment Managers.

Lombard Odier IM will launch LO Funds – Global Prestige in June and subsequently absorb assets from the €236 million Credit Suisse (Lux) Global Prestige Equity Fund.

The fund will be available via CSAM’s fund platform as well as distributed by Lombard Odier IM.

CSAM portfolio manager Juan Mendoza will join Lombard Odier IM as senior portfolio manager to run the fund on June 26.

Mendoza will manage Global Prestige with the same investment objective, policy and approach taken at CSAM. The fund will be invested in a concentrated portfolio of 30 to 40 stocks.

He will be supported by Ingrid Nouhaud, analyst in Lombard Odier’s high conviction equity team.

Michel Degen, regional head of CSAM including Switzerland, said: “Our industry is continuously evolving. Partnering with other firms is crucial if we are to meet the needs of clients and thrive as an industry.”
