AlphaSimplex hires chief research strategist

AlphaSimplex Group, an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, has hired Kathryn Kaminski as chief research strategist.

Kaminski previously worked at the MIT Laboratory for Financial Engineering.

She has joined the portfolio management team for the firm’s managed futures strategies.

In the newly created position she will conduct research in support of AlphaSimplex products.

She will report to chief investment officer David Modest and will work with other investment committee members, including deputy chief investment officer, Alexander Healy.

Kaminski was a doctoral student of Andrew Lo, AlphaSimplex’s founder.
