Kames to close equity fund

Edinburgh-based asset management firm Kames Capital is to close its Equity Market Neutral Plus Fund.

In a statement the firm said it had decided to close the £0.5 million (€0.57 million) fund as “its size falls below our viability criteria”.

The fund, part of Kames’ Dublin-based offshore range, was launched in December 2014.

It invests in companies based in the UK, principally conducting business in the UK or listed in the UK stock market. It also invests up to 10% in non-UK companies and to a limited extent in other securities and instruments.

The fund is managed by David Pringle and Malcolm McPartlin.
