State Street Global Advisors hires French ETF chief

State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) has hired Ludovic Djebali as head of its SPDR exchange-traded funds (ETFs) business for France.

Djebali joins from Source ETFs where he was co-head of Europe Middle East and Africa and strategic account management.

He reports to Rory Tobin, chairman of SSGA and global co-head of SPDR ETFs, and is based in Paris.

Djebali will lead, manage and develop the SPDR ETF business in France, across all channels: institutional asset owners, institutional asset managers and financial intermediaries.

Tobin said: “France is a critical market for SPDR. We see great potential to build our footprint in fixed income. Equally there is great opportunity in smart beta.”
