BlueBay unveils multi-asset income fund

BlueBay Asset Management has launched the BlueBay Global Income Fund that invests in bonds across developed and emerging markets.

The fund managers Blair Reid, Mark Dowding and Raphael Robelin aim to provide an income stream via a low turnover portfolio of bonds and say their primary focus is on securities with an attractive relationship between yield and credit risk.

Bonds from across the sovereign and corporate sphere are targeted, though the fund targets a consistent level of credit risk.

It is aimed at institutional investors in support of liability matching and also at wealth managers looking for income.

Reid said: “This strategy is about spending your credit risk as efficiently as possible. We build the fund from bottom-up based on ideas sourced from our analysts where the key focus is on the relationship between yield and credit risk.”
