Former BlackRock vice-chair joins Axioma board

Former BlackRock vice-chairman, Blake Grossman, is to join the board of directors of US-based portfolio optimisation solutions provider, Axioma.

From 2009 to 2010, Grossman was vice chairman of BlackRock.

He is currently chairman of the board of Financial Engines, a provider of financial planning services and professional investment management and advice.

He is also a managing partner at ThirdStream Partners LLC and at CHJ Capital Management LLC, both of which focus primarily on early-stage investments in financial services and technology.

Grossman said that Axioma was redefining the landscape with flexible, enterprise-wide risk and equity solutions that give investment firms systematic capabilities to grow and scale, but at a fraction of the cost.
