Morgan Stanley IM hires discretionary salesman from Janus

Morgan Stanley Investment Management has appointed Max Harper to its UK discretionary distribution team.

Harper joins from Janus Capital (now Janus Henderson) where he covered UK discretionary clients.

He becomes a senior sales person and will report to Rob Lunn, head of the UK and Ireland discretionary business at Morgan Stanley IM.

Harper has previously worked at Kepler Partners, NewSmith Asset Management and F&C Asset Management.

MSIM said the hire will help the business to enhance its presence in the UK wholesale and discretionary fund management market.
