Duff & Phelps, a consultancy, has appointed three regulatory and compliance experts as part of an expansion in the area.
The firm – which provides compliance and other consulting services to asset mangers – has appointed Fergus Allan (pictured) and Derek Taylor as managing directors to its UK compliance and regulatory team in London.
Meanwhile, Ed Shorrock is hired as a director in Jersey.
Taylor and Allan join the firm in newly created roles. Taylor is a former partner at Grant Thornton UK and Allan joins from PwC.
Monique Melis, head of regulatory consulting at Duff & Phelps, said the firm had been looking to expand the compliance area of its business for some time.
“The current climate makes their appointments even more timely. The UK is still subject to complex European regulations, and remains so now Article 50 has been triggered,” she said.
Shorrock joins as a director of compliance and regulatory consulting in the Channel Islands. Prior to this he was a director in Deloitte’s forensic and dispute resolution team.
Duff & Phelps consults on various activities related to corporate finance for a range of industries including asset management.
