Lombard Odier appoints head of independent asset managers

Lombard Odier Private Bank has appointed Michael Le Garignon to develop its UK independent asset managers business.

Le Garignon joins from Société Générale Securities Services, where he was head of business development, sales and relationship management for UK & Ireland. Prior to that, he held business development roles at JP Morgan and BNP Paribas Securities Services.

Lombard Odier’s independent asset managers division, established about 25 years ago, has €18 billion under custody. It offers wealth managers a portfolio management platform, through which users can conduct performance analysis, asset consolidation, reporting and order entries.

Le Garignon will be responsible for driving the launch of an independent asset management offering in the UK next year.

His appointment is the latest in a series of hires for the firm, as it builds its UK presence. In October, it announced six appointments, including chief operating officer, wealth planner and legal counsel, and three private bankers.
