AMP Capital bolsters its infrastructure equity team

Australia’s AMP Capital has appointed Philip Pacey as a principal in its London-based infrastructure equity team.

Pacey will join the asset management team within AMP Capital’s global infrastructure platform, which has assets across transport, energy, communication and utilities. He will report to the firm’s head of asset management in Europe, David Rees.

He has over 20 years’ board level experience across transport and infrastructure-related companies.

Rees said Pacey’s appointment strengthens the asset management team of its infrastructure equity business.

“Phil’s diverse background means he has a unique perspective on delivering shareholder value and his appointment demonstrates our commitment to delivering the highest levels of asset management for the benefit of our investors,” said Rees.

Pacey was most recently an independent consultant with ESVAGT, a leading provider of emergency response and rescue services in the offshore oil and gas industry in Denmark and Norway. AMP Capital owns 50% of ESVAGT.

AMP Capital has $116 billion (€104 billion) in funds under management as of December 31, 2015.
