Schroders bolsters US credit team with three hires

Schroders has made three appointments to its US fixed income business based in New York.

David Knutson joined the firm from Legal & General Investment Management, where he was senior analyst, head of credit research. He will oversee all the American team’s credit research activities. He replaces Jack Davis, who has been promoted to a senior analyst role at Schroders.

Chris Eger has been appointed to the newly-created role of credit specialist portfolio manager. He joins from JP Morgan Chase. In total, Eger has 14 years’ experience in trading and portfolio management in investment grade bonds.

Eric Skelton has joined as a US credit trader for US investment grade credit from Achievement Asset Management where he worked as a credit trader. 

All three will be based in the firm’s New York office; Eger and Knutson will report to head of US credit Wes Sparks, while Skelton will report to Gregg Moore, head of trading for the Americas.

Schroders has $466.9 billion (€415.9 billion) in assets under management as of March 31, this year.
