Misys, a software firm, has partnered with Dorsum, a central European software shop, to give people online investment functionality through their bank accounts.
The online brokerage facility is part of the Misys FusionBanking Essence, a digital software channel.
Customers can invest in exchange-traded and over-the-counter assets – including equities, bonds and mutual funds – and have access to investment reports and various portfolio data.
Bank clients are able to execute full-scale retail brokerage activity seamlessly from their online banking account, Misys says.
Alex Bray, retail channels director at Misys, said: “As digital banking has become ubiquitous, online investment capabilities are the next big differentiator for banks.”
The solution also includes risk profile tests so that banks’ customers can conduct trades in line with their own personal risk profile and ensure that they are compliant with regulation such as the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II.
