AXA IM appoints Arcilla as head of Japan

AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has hired Francisco Arcilla as head of Japan, in replacement of Mikifumi Watanabe who will retire on June 30, 2015.

Arcilla will be based in Tokyo and will lead AXA IM’s distribution and business development in Japan, with a view to assisting the firm’s expansion in the country.

He will report to Christophe Coquema, global head of client group at AXA IM, who says that Japan is a “crucially important” region for the firm.
