Hermes appoints head of investment office

Hermes Investment Management has appointed Eoin Murray to lead the Hermes investment office, meaning he takes on responsibility for issuing ‘kitemarks’ to all new investment strategies that

Hermes launches.

The investment office monitors investment teams’ adherence to the processes that earned them their kitemarks, as well as ensuring continued delivery of risk-adjusted performance.

Based at the company’s headquarters in London, Murray will report to chief executive, Saker Nusseibeh. As the previous head of investment, Nusseibeh was responsible for establishing the investment office after he joined Hermes in 2009.

Murray joins Hermes from GSA Capital Partners. He was previously chief investment officer at Old Mutual and also held senior positions at Callanish Capital Partners and Northern Trust Global Investments.
