Investec Investment Bank & Securities has appointed Paul Locke as a senior fund analyst to its closed-end fund team. He replaces John Davey.
Locke has over 18 years of experience in the closed-end fund and investment trust market and previously worked as a country risk analyst with business information provider, Dun & Bradstreet.
Investec has also appointed Darren Vickers, previously at Westhouse Securities, who will work on the corporate finance side of the closed-end fund team in a newly created position. In previous roles he has completed transactions such as initial public offerings and secondary fundraisings, both at Westhouse and at Charles Stanley Securities.
Jamie Lowe, head of closed-end funds, says the appointments reflect Investec’s “continued confidence in, and commitment to, the closed-end fund sector”.
