Vanguard launches four Ucits ETFs

Vanguard Asset Management has launched four new Ireland-domiciled exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on the London Stock Exchange.

The new ETFs will hold physical securities and seek to track the performance of broadly diversified FTSE indices.

The new range includes the Vanguard FTSE 250 Ucits ETF, which holds all, or nearly all, of the 250 mid-cap UK stocks in the FTSE 250 Index, and the Vanguard FTSE Developed World Ucits ETF, which uses an index-sampling strategy to invest in stocks of large and mid-size companies in 25 developed markets.

The remaining two products, the Vanguard FTSE North America Ucits ETF and the Vanguard FTSE Developed Europe ex UK Ucits focus on large- and mid-cap stocks in the US and Canada, and developed continental European markets, respectively.

The ongoing costs for Vanguard’s European ETF suite range from 0.07% to 0.29%, with the new ETFs charging between 0.10% and 0.18%.

Vanguard now offers 13 ETFs in the UK and has over $10 billion (€7.9 billion) in European ETF assets under management.
