Lombard Odier IM hires deputy CIO

The asset management division of Swiss private bank Lombard Odier & Cie has hired Carolina Minio-Paluello as deputy chief investment officer.

She will be based in London and focus on providing risk-based portfolio construction for the firm’s institutional clients.

Minio-Paluello was previously head of equity and private investor solutions in Europe, Middle East and Africa for Citigroup and prior to that managed quantitative investment strategies at Goldman Sachs.

Minio-Paluello will report to Jan Straatman, Lombard Odier Investment Managers’ chief investment officer, who is also based in London.

Geneva-based Lombard Odier Investment Managers had 38 billion Swiss francs (€31 billion) under management at the end of 2012. Lombard Odier Group has 164 billion Swiss francs under management across all its businesses.
