Schroders to launch unconstrained bond fund

Schroders is to launch a global unconstrained bond fund in April.

The Schroder ISF Global Unconstrained Bond fund will aim to achieve a risk-adjusted return of 4-5% per annum over the benchmark over an interest rate cycle.

The fund will be benchmarked against the Barclays Capital Global Aggregate Bond USD Hedged Index over a rolling three to five year period.

Schroders’ global multi-sector team – led by Bob Jolly, head of global macro, and Gareth Isaac, a fixed income fund manager – will manage the fund.

Philippe Lespinard, chief investment officer, fixed income, says Schroders has invested over the past 18 months in its global multi-sector team and the latest fund will complete its product range in this area.
