Wells Fargo launches six funds in Europe

America’s Wells Fargo Asset Management has launched six investment sub-funds under the Wells Fargo (Lux) Worldwide Fund.

The range includes the Emerging Markets Equity II fund, the Emerging Markets Income and Growth fund, the Global Opportunity Bond fund, the Precious Metals fund, the US Premier Growth fund and the US Short-Term High Yield Bond fund.

Andrew Owen, executive vice president, said expansion into Europe was the “logical next step” in the asset manager’s international fund line up.

He highlighted that the European asset management marketplace had an approximate market size of $2.9 trillion (€2.4 trillion) and a growth rate “markedly faster” than that of North America.

The six new additions brought the total fund range available for sale in Europe to 13.
