Russell Investments launches EM fund

Russell Investments has appointed eight fund managers to a multi-manager emerging markets fund that will target India, Africa and global emerging markets, among other investments.

One firm is a Hong Kong fund manager – an affiliate of France’s La Francaise Asset Management – called JK Capital Management (JKCM). It will provide discretionary investment services for Russell’s fund, which is an Irish-incorporated, open ended vehicle called the Emerging Markets Extended Opportunities Fund.

Fabrice Jacob, co-founder and a fund manager at JKCM will replicate the equity value oriented investment strategy of the LFP-JKC China Value fund, within the investment guidelines set by Russell Investments.

La Francaise Asset Management has €35 billion under management.

Other managers are Delaware, Quantum, East Capital, Somerset, Imara, Victoria 1522, and Russell Implementation Services.
