JP Morgan launches emerging markets multi-asset fund

JP Morgan has launched an emerging markets multi-asset fund, which invests in equities and bonds of emerging market companies, and sovereign issuers.

Multi-asset funds, which can allocate between different kinds of assets, are becoming increasingly popular because they can take advantage of both long and short term trends.

Nadia Grant and the multi-strategy team manage the newly launched Emerging Markets Multi-Asset fund.

They use existing emerging markets equity and emerging markets debt strategies for the physical equity and physical bond exposures, while implementing tactical asset allocation to reflect market views.

Richard Titherington, the chief investment officer of the emerging markets equity team, manages the equity part of the portfolio. Whereas Pierre-Yves Bareau, the chief investment officer of the emerging markets debt team, manages the fixed income part.

The tactical asset allocation is implemented by futures.
