Skagen gains investment director

Skagen Funds, the independent Norwegian fund manager, has appointed Alexandra Morris as investment director.

Morris, a certified financial analyst, has over two decades of financial services and investment experience. She joins Skagen from DNB Asset Management, one of the largest fund houses in the Nordic region. There, she served as chief investment officer.

Previously, she served at Odin Investment Management, where she was responsible to two of its flagship European equity funds. She has also held positions on the boards of several Norwegian companies including Nordic Nanovector and Kongsberg Gruppen.

Morris will take up the new role on September 1 2016, working closely with Skagen chief executive Leif Ola Rød and overseeing the company’s 23-strong portfolio management team.

Skagen manages assets of around €10 billion.
