BLI strengthens multi-management division

multi managerBanque de Luxembourg Investments (BLI) has expanded its multi-management fund selection team, recruiting Amélie Morel and Jean-Baptiste Fargeau as fund analysts.

The team, now five-strong, is charged with analysing, selecting and monitoring an external fund list, as well as the management of the funds of funds multi-asset classes.

Morel will be in charge of European, socially responsible, sectorial and theme equities, while Fargeau takes responsibility for emerging equities and bonds, and high yield and corporate bonds.

Morel replaces Inès Buttet, who left BLI to pursue new opportunities. Prior to joining BLI, Morel spent nearly three years auditing investment funds at Deloitte. She has also worked as an investment analyst at a Luxembourg wealth structurer.

Fargeau joins from J.Chahine Capital, a Luxembourg-based management company, where he spent 11 years in quantitative analysis and portfolio management.

The new hires represent the first step in a planned expansion of the firm’s fund selection services. Over the past four years, BLI’s predominant focus has been extending its equities and fund distribution divisions.

BLI manages assets of around €10.1 billion as of March 31 2016.
