Julian Lyne to head distribution at Newton

Julian LyneLondon’s Newton Investment Management, part of US giant BNY Mellon, has made Julian Lyne global head of distribution in a newly created role.

According to the firm, the role includes providing leadership in both marketing and sales. Lyne was formerly head of business development and global consultant relationships and will continue to report to commercial director Colin Cowie.

Lyne joined the firm in 2014 tasked with galvanising its global consultant relations and UK institutional as well as charity business development. He retains responsibility in these areas.

Prior to joining Newton, he was head of institutional business at F&C Investments. Throughout his 21-year career he has held various roles covering client and consultant relations across both defined contribution and defined benefit segments.

“We are constantly looking at ways of enhancing our service to customers and we are therefore bringing a number of areas together and broadening Julian’s role in recognition of his excellent leadership,” said Helena Morrissey, chief executive officer at Newton.
