JP Morgan appoints permanent UK institutional head

Business clientJP Morgan Asset Management has appointed Paul Farrell as head of UK institutional clients.

Farrell replaces John Stainsby, who left the firm in May 2015 to pursue other projects. Since Stainsby’s departure, the UK institutional client team has reported directly to Patrick Thomson, Head of International Institutional Clients.

Farrell will be responsible for managing and building client relationships with institutional pension funds in the UK & Ireland. He will be responsible for direct client management in defined benefit and defined contribution.

He joins from Dimensional Fund Advisors, where he was head of UK institutional clients since July 2011. Previously, Farrell was a managing director at BlackRock, where he worked as head of UK strategic account management team and a regional operating committee member.
