Pimco adds to its bond fund range

Pimco has launched the Pimco GIS Capital Securities Fund, investing in subordinated, hybrid and contingent convertible bonds.

The largest bond manager in the world, US-based Pimco says the Ucits fund has the flexibility to allocate across the entire capital structure.

In addition, Pimco says investing in bank capital may offer investors enhanced levels of portfolio diversification and low correlation with interest rates.

Philippe Bodereau, managing director and head of global financials research, manages the new fund.

The fund has been added to Pimco’s Ucits-compliant, Dublin-registered Global Investor Series (GIS) fund range, which comprises 47 sub-funds and has $130 billion (€96.3 billion) of assets under management.

Depending on client requirements, the funds are accessible in a variety of share classes in different currencies.
