Straatman to retire from Lombard Odier

Jan Straatman, the chief investment officer (CIO) of Swiss asset manager Lombard Odier, is to retire at the end of the year.

Straatman joined Lombard in 2012 as global CIO, responsible for its range of investment strategies and developing its multi-boutique structure.

Over the course of the year, Straatman’s responsibilities will be gradually transitioned to the CIOs leading Lombard’s investment boutiques.

Following his retirement, Straatman will remain as an adviser to the firm and as a fund board member.

Hubert Keller, Lombard’s chief executive, said that Straatman had been instrumental in positioning Lombard Odier as a specialist multi-strategy firm.

“Straatman’s hard work, deep understanding of investment processes and risk management, and his very effective management style has considerably helped us to achieve this goal,” Keller said.
