Robeco Group to be rebranded

Dutch finance group Robeco is to be rebranded as Orix Corporation Europe by its Japanese owners Orix.

In 2013, Orix acquired a 90% stake in the financial holding company from Dutch lender, Rabobank and acquired the remaining shares in 2016.

In the same year, Robeco Group was restructured from an operating company into a holding company to separate the holding activities and the asset management businesses of its member companies.

Orix said that the rebranding, which takes place with immediate effect, would better reflect Robeco Group’s position within the Orix group. It stressed that the holding company’s name change would not affect the governance or brands of the asset management companies in the holding.

Robeco Group has €283 billion assets under management.
