Reed Smith adds funds partner

Law firm Reed Smith has expanded its funds finance practice by hiring a former Dechert lawyer.

Kevin-Paul Deveau joins as a partner in Reed Smith’s financial industry group in London.

As well as the role in the firm’s funds finance practice, he will also work in the wider banking team.

Dechert’s funds finance practice focuses on advising lenders, general partners, and fund managers on capital call, net asset value and asset-backed facilities, among other issues.

Other partners with the funds finance team include Leon Stephenson, Bronwen Jones, and Nick Stainthorpe.

Jones was appointed earlier this year when the firm said it had an acute need for more funds partners.
